Here I
was minding my own business and very confident about my network connection. In
the first few hours, my Internet was running like a dream. But then the
disconnection started happening. I checked for possible faults. It could not be
the router; it is new for Christ’s sake! And my LAN was still connected. So how
can I possibly lost all the internet connectivity?
I tried
rebooting the router. It has worked for a while then it went off again. Worst
of all, I have not done anything at all! Not even posting a status on my FB
wall. How frustrating was that? My face
was as red as a ripe tomato and my stress level was soaring sky high too!
Fortunately,
a friend came by and he introduced me to a network problem specialist. I had my
doubts since it was my first time availing such a service. But, it was worth a try, so I went ahead.
The
great experience
In an
unexpected turn of events, I came to like the service. First, my call was
answered after the third ring. No waiting on long queue to talk to a tech
specialist. Somebody is actually waiting to take the call and that is rare in
the industry. Ara (my tech personnel)
was very polite and friendly. I shared the nature of the problem. She asked me
if I would prefer a remote computer support or go through with the process with
a phone patch.
Remote
Computer support is a type of service where the tech specialist can view your
desktop and share control of your mouse and keyboard to get you on your way to
a solution. It is a speedier process since they do the work themselves and have
freedom to roam around the software and find the cause of the problem
immediately. But this only happens if you allow them to.
You
can see everything they do, so it does not pose a great risk on your security.
That is because you will always have the overriding control over your mouse and
keywords and can abort or end the remote session anytime you want.
Since I
am in a hurry, I chose the remote session. During the whole process, Ara made
me comfortable and calm. She even took the time to answer all my questions. The
experience was like watching a video and audio tutorial on fixing network
connectivity 101.
I am
very glad to have called them. It has been three weeks since the incident and I
have not encountered even a tiniest bit of a problem. If you are also
experiencing the same issue or if you think that your current tech provider is
not up to the problems you might be facing, it is time to make a switch. Call SUPPORTrix
instead. You can look for Ara or any tech specialist who is as good as her.
